BARBARA VUCANOVICH MILITARY ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP

In conjunction with a recommendation from our Representative from Congressional District 2, we are proud to award a $2000  Military Academy scholarship to honor Nevada’s first U.S. Congressional District 2 representative. trailblazer for women in politics.

WASHOE REPUBLICAN WOMEN’S OUTSTANDING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

This $2000 scholarship is awarded to a female high school senior in Washoe County with goals to further their education.  The scholarship is merit-based with emphasis on activities promoting community involvement and the Republican political process, as well as financial need.  Details are announced in February with applications and information sent to school counselors.  Applications are due in March and awarded in April.  Recipient is celebrated as our guest at a Washoe Republican Women’s Luncheon in May.

JO MARSHALL SCHOLARSHIP

WRW teams with Nevada Federation of Republican Women to reward a female student enrolled in a Nevada Institute of Higher Learning in Northern Nevada.  To be eligible for this $1,000 scholarship, the applicant must be a Nevada resident enrolled as a “degree seeking” student who has a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and has carried 12 credits the previous semester where she is currently enrolled. The scholarship is open to sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students. Our sponsored candidate becomes eligible for a $1000 award for higher education.
